Vanilla Porter, that is. BRAD'S Vanilla Porter, if you will.
Yes, we're naming our Porter "Brad's Porter", in honor of Jason's best friend Brad Porter. I know!! Awesome name, isn't it??
Here are the vanilla beans sitting in vodka. This is how we sanitized them before adding them to the secondary fermentation.
Here, Jason is putting the sanitized vanilla beans into the carboy before we transfer the Porter from the primary fermentation into the secondary. We'll keg this next weekend and should be able to enjoy it 2-3 days after!

Hail to the Heffeweizen Takes 3rd!
Dailey Brew takes 3rd place in the German Wheat & Rye Beer Category in the 22nd Annual Dredhop Competition held today at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver! It was all very exciting, with our fellow Rock Hoppers there to cheer us on. One of our fellow brewers, Adam Glaser, won best in show with his Barleywine - way to go Adam!
Here's a picture of the "Hail to the Heffeweizen" with its newly won ribbon.
We would be remiss to not mention our Frogtown Pale Ale (pictured below). While it didn't place, it finished with a score of 41/50, which is outstanding! This category (probably) had the most entries, which made the competition more fierce. But we are WILDY proud of this Pale Ale and are enjoying every last sip of it.
